If you can’t see any of the bar used for your piercing and the ball or labret is starting to dig in, it’s time for longer jewellery.
Sometimes this means your piercer made a poor choice of jewellery or didn’t correctly measure what jewellery was needed but sometimes people can swell far more than any piercer would normally expect.
It isn’t worth throwing blame around, it IS worth going back to your piercer and asking for longer jewellery to accommodate for the swelling. This should always be provided free of charge.
IF YOU DON’T GET YOUR JEWELLERY CHANGED IT WILL GET WORSE SO DO IT NOW!!
In the meantime, you can help reduce the swelling by using an ice-pack and taking an anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen.
